About Our Company
The Floral Park Music and Dance Center has been providing quality music and dance instruction to the surrounding communities of Floral Park, New Hyde Park and eastern Queens since 1963. We provide affordable, in studio, music instruction while also offering a welcoming and friendly environment.
Our skilled instructors provide all the necessary training for NYSSMA, audition preparation, and the LIMTA annual music festival. Our specialties in instruction lie within piano, guitar and strings and our teachers are all formally trained with many doubling as professional performance artists in various arenas.

We are proud to announce that we are members of the Long Island Music Teachers Association (LIMTA). Our students participate each year in their festival which is held every June.

The New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA)
NYSSMA sponsors approximately 145 solo & small ensemble and major ensemble festivals in New York State each spring. students are given a performance evaluation that involves playing a graded solo from the NYSSMA Manual, playing scales and sight reading. At major ensemble festivals, school bands, choruses and orchestras are evaluated. NYSSMA festivals (other than for All-State) are evaluations, not competitions. Students may compete with themselves from year to year. The Floral Park Music and Dance Center has a team of professionals that can prepare your child for NYSSMA each year
